twig bio has been recognised at the Nebius AI Discovery Awards in London, taking 2nd place in the Genomics category — a standout result among more than 600 applicants across six categories.

The award recognises twig's work on CANOPY, a multi-modal, multi-omic foundation AI model built for engineering biology. CANOPY is designed to predict, optimise, and explain biological systems across the full journey from genotype through to production performance — a core part of twig's full-stack bioengineering platform.

Alongside the recognition, the team received $50K in compute credits, reflecting the strength and innovation behind twig's work in scaling CANOPY.
